Paris' Off the Beaten Tracks

Rue Mouffetard
This is one of the oldest and liveliest neighbourhoods in Paris. It is a small but long pedestrian avenue lined with shops, cafés, restaurants and boulangeries/pâtisseries (bakeries/bakeshops). This is where I found the least expensive yet great tasting croissant!

In my second visit to this place, I bumped into a Chinese student studying in Nice, France, currently doing a summer job as a sales staff in a Tart/Quiche shop owned by a Chinese couple! According to him, majority of his clients are locals.
The rue Mouffetard around mid-afternoon.
The rue Mouffetard by late afternoon/early evening. This boulangerie has affordable yet great tasting croissants!

The queue at the boulangerie gets longer and longer after office hours...

Crumble aux pommes (apple crumble) at La Maison des Tartes. I could taste the real apple, though apple isn't my favourite fruit, hahaha!
